Arciform was involved in several elements of the AV Festival, including:
- The design, fabrication and installation of a 13m curved frame for Susan Stenger's 'Sound Strata of Coastal Northumberland' at The Laing Gallery. Arciform designed the frame to reference a section of the coastal landscape while adhering to strict conservation requirements to fit the original 13m geological survey from the 1830's into the existing gallery space. The frame was then built in sections at our Liverpool Studio, transported to Newcastle, connected seamlessly on site, and suspended from the ceiling of the gallery to seemingly float in the space, creating a visually striking display.
- Installing the immersive artwork including AV, projection screen and set works, design and fabrication of the geometric form to sit alongside Anja Kirschner & David Panos’s film collage 'Ultimate Substance' (2012) at MIMA: Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art;
- Installing Akio Suzuki's "na ge ka ke (‘to cast, to throw’)' at the Globe Gallery;
- Project managing the AV Festival production and installation.
